Jonny Rucker
I was born and raised in Georgia and attended the University of Georgia, where I studied finance and accounting. After graduating, I began my career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services practice, where I continue to work today.
My wife, Aashana, and I moved to Charlotte in May 2023 and quickly fell in love with the city. Not long after arriving, we purchased a home in Seversville and have enjoyed getting to know the neighborhood and the people who make it special. One of our favorite ways to explore Charlotte is through its incredible restaurant scene (Restaurant Constance is one of our favorites).
Outside of work, I enjoy learning new things and picking up new hobbies. For instance, Aashana and I have been learning Hindi together, and I also spend time tending to our growing collection of indoor plants. Charlotte has been an exciting place to build our life together, and we have enjoyed exploring everything the city and community have to offer.
My inspiration for getting involved in the Seversville community comes from my grandfather. Growing up, I often heard about his experiences serving our hometown as both a county commissioner and city manager, and his commitment to public service left a lasting impression on me.
As a relatively new member of the community, my goal in serving on the board is to help create opportunities for neighbors to get involved and feel connected to Seversville. I am passionate about supporting local businesses, strengthening community relationships, and helping ensure that Seversville continues to be a welcoming and vibrant place for everyone who calls it home.
